What are Channels?

Sometimes, when you have multiple feeds, they are all mashed up, so it's hard to distinguish between different sources or interests when you read the latest news. In channels, you have the option to organize your feeds by sources and interests [more]
What are tags?
Tags allow you to label your feeds or channels. Simply put, just add words that you consider relevant to the feed or channels you have.
How do I add a new feed?

Why should I add tags to my feeds and channels?

How do I add a new Channel?
The First step in adding a new channel is to name it. After you name your channel you will be able to add feed sources to your channel, edit the tags, and add filter options.
What are filters?
Filters help you clean your channels from unwanted news items. For example if you like sports but don't care for football you can put the keyword "football" for exclusion. If you like only polo, you can add a keyword on polo, to show only news items that contain polo. In time, you'll see a tolerance percent near your filters. This means we gathered enough content to be able to distinguish additional words besides the base word. For example the system might notice that a football player has been mentioned in the news containing football in 15% of all football related news. This means a 15 points tolerance. At this point we'll filter that name out of the news filter even if the news item doesn't contain the word football. You may adjust the tolerance up or down, but be carefull because if you restrict your tolerance to much, you might end up with no news at all...
Customize, Mark article as read
By default, this option is activated. You can change it from the "customize" interface. While you read a channel or feed you will notice that as you scroll down, the articles at the top, are greyed out. When an article is greyed out, it means the systems thinks you have read the article, and it won't show that article ever again. This is helpfull if you have tons of feeds and you don't read everything each time you go to that page. For example, if you have 400 unread articles, and you start reading the first 10, than you come back later, the 10 articles you just read, won't appear again, so you won't have to scroll down and see where you've left your reading. Customize, Choose start page
Your default start page is "Your Home". This is the first page you see after you login. In order to optimize your experience, and go straight forward at what you are interested in, you can choose a feed or a channel you have defined to be your start page.
Customize, Keep me stealth
By default your profile is public. This means that you will be listed in the searches next to the feeds or channels you have added or created. Since we respect your privacy, you may change this behavior by choosing the stealth mode. This means that your profile won't be listed anywhere, and no one will know about you on this website.
Account notices
Yes, we know they are annoying. This is our way of let you know that you are not taking full advantage of what we offer. Ok, so how do you turned them off? Well, once you hit save on the 'customize' interface, we assume that you want to leave everything like it is, so we won't bug you to customize your experience anymore. As for the avatar, name and gender, they are for the sole purpose of letting others know who you are. If you don't want to tell us, just check "stealth mode" in the customize interface, and the notices will stop.
Your Profile
From the profile tab, you let the world know who you are. Well, not to much, just enough to know other who you are. The info you submit here, will be displayed next to your feeds or channels.
